PopFlex vs. Baleaf Sizing: “Regular” Is 27 Inches, and Baleaf Ties Height to Size

- PopFlex sells one legging in 9 sizes × 5 leg lengths and names the lengths with words. Its own listing decodes them: Petite is 25", Regular 27", Tall 29".
- Baleaf's chart has no length option at all. Instead it prints a height range inside every size row — M is labelled 5'5"–5'7", XL is labelled 5'9"–5'11".
- That collides for anyone tall and slim. A 5'10" body with a 29" waist reads M on Baleaf's waist row and XL on Baleaf's height row, two full steps apart on the same chart.
Straight to it — Both brands answer the length question, but only one of them answers it in inches. PopFlex makes length a separate dropdown; Baleaf bakes it into the style and uses height as a sizing hint. Measure your waist, your hip and your inseam, and the two charts stop fighting.
Every number below was pulled Sept. 16, 2026 from the brands' own live pages, converted to nothing — both publish in inches already.

What does the PopFlex chart say in inches?
One ladder covers the whole leggings range. We counted 71 women's legging styles on the PopFlex site, and all 71 sit on the same nine-step run.
| Size | XXS | XS | S | M | L | XL | 1X | 2X | 3X |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Waist | 22–24" | 24–26" | 26–28" | 28–31" | 31–34" | 34–38" | 38–42" | 42–46" | 46–50" |
| Hip | 32–34" | 34–36" | 36–38" | 38–40" | 40–43" | 43–47" | 48–52" | 52–56" | 56–60" |
Source: PopFlex size guide, imperial, checked Sept. 16, 2026. One gap worth knowing: the hip row runs to 47" at XL and picks up again at 48" for 1X, so a 47.5" hip lands between two rows and should follow the waist instead.
Why does the Baleaf chart have a height column?
Baleaf publishes a chart per product rather than one for the site, and the legging charts share a layout that includes height. Here is the Flyleaf chart in full.
| Size | Height printed | Waist | Hip | Inseam |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 5'1"–5'3" | 24–25.5" | 33.5–35.5" | 24.8" |
| S | 5'3"–5'5" | 26–27.5" | 36–37.5" | 25.2" |
| M | 5'5"–5'7" | 28–29.5" | 38–39.5" | 25.6" |
| L | 5'7"–5'9" | 30–32.5" | 39.5–42" | 25.8" |
| XL | 5'9"–5'11" | 33–36.5" | 42.5–46" | 26.0" |
| 2XL | 5'11"–6'1" | 37–40.5" | 46.5–50.5" | 26.2" |
| 3XL | 6'1"–6'3" | 41–43" | 51–53" | 26.4" |
Source: Baleaf Flyleaf product page, chart checked Sept. 16, 2026. The listing separately states a 25.8" inseam at size L, which matches the row.
The inseam climbs 1.6" from XS to 3XL, so the leg does grow — it just grows with your hip rather than with your height. We saw the same pattern across the brand's charts in our Baleaf brand notes, and none of the 37 legging styles on the site offered a length dropdown.
Where do the two charts actually disagree?
Take the midpoint of each band and the waist gap widens as the sizes climb.
| Size | PopFlex waist midpoint | Baleaf waist midpoint | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 25.0" | 24.75" | 0.25" |
| S | 27.0" | 26.75" | 0.25" |
| M | 29.5" | 28.75" | 0.75" |
| L | 32.5" | 31.25" | 1.25" |
| XL | 36.0" | 34.75" | 1.25" |
At the bottom of the run the two brands are within a quarter inch, which is inside tape-measure error. From M upward PopFlex drafts roughly an inch wider per letter, so the same tape reading can round down a size. That is the mechanism behind most of the swaps we log under compare and the five-brand label survey in how five brands label the same body.

What does "Regular" measure in inches?
PopFlex names its lengths with words on most listings, which is useless at a tape measure. Five of its styles print the inches instead, and the black Crisscross Hourglass spells out both. That listing is the decoder for the other 59.
| PopFlex length name | Inseam | Height it is drawn for | Nearest Baleaf equivalent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extra Petite | 23" | Under 5'0" | none — shortest legging inseam is 24.8" |
| Petite | 25" | 5'1"–5'3" | XS at 24.8", S at 25.2" |
| Regular | 27" | 5'4"–5'7" | none on this style; other Baleaf styles reach 27.2" |
| Tall | 29" | 5'8"–5'11" | none — brand tops out at 29.5" in 3XL |
| Extra Tall | 31" | 6'0" and above | none |

Where each of those inseams lands on a leg is mapped in inseam by height, and the 31" end of the market in tall leggings with a 31-inch inseam. Prices at that length move around, which Activewear Deals tracks in its tall inseam price check.
What size are you at each brand?
Three bodies run through both charts, plus a third column from Bubblelime's chart for a comparable pocket legging.
| Your measurements | PopFlex | Baleaf | Bubblelime |
|---|---|---|---|
| 26" waist / 36" hip / 5'5" | S, Regular 27" | S on all three rows | M (27" waist), 26" inseam |
| 29" waist / 40" hip / 5'10" | M, Tall 29" | M by waist, L by hip, XL by height | XL (rounds up from L at the hip), 28" inseam |
| 34" waist / 46" hip / 5'4" | XL, Regular 27" | XL by waist and hip, but the row says 5'9"–5'11" | 2XL on the chart, not on this listing |
Row two is the one that costs people a return. Three different letters come out of one Baleaf chart because height, waist and hip are graded as if they move together. Our standing advice for that split is in stuck between two legging sizes; the measuring method itself is in how to measure for leggings.
What should you check before you order?
- Write down three numbers, not two. Waist, hip and inseam. PopFlex needs all three; Baleaf needs the first two and will guess the third.
- Ignore the height column if your waist disagrees with it. Fabric stretches around a hip. It does not grow a 26" leg into a 29" one.
- Translate the words before you add to cart. Regular is 27", Tall is 29" — and on PopFlex's flared styles the same names mean 31" and 34".
- Check the size is stocked, not just printed. Four of the 45 size-length combinations on the black Crisscross Hourglass were sold out when we looked.
- Read the fabric line. A 20% spandex legging forgives half an inch that a firmer knit will not — the spread we measured runs 12% to 31% in how much spandex leggings have, and what that does to a chart is in does fabric change the size chart.
- Know the return terms first if you plan to order two sizes and send one back — final-sale rules differ by brand.
Other head-to-heads are filed under compare, including CRZ Yoga against Girlfriend Collective. Single-brand numbers live in brand notes, category tables in size charts — including the bootcut and flare chart — and every length question in inseam and height.
Is a PopFlex M the same as a Baleaf M?
Close, not identical. PopFlex drafts M for a 28–31" waist and 38–40" hip; Baleaf's M covers 28–29.5" and 38–39.5". A 30.5" waist is an M at PopFlex and an L at Baleaf.
Does the height in Baleaf's chart mean the legging will be too short?
Not by itself. The inseam on that chart moves only 1.6" from XS to 3XL, so the height column reads more as a body-type note than a length promise. If you are over 5'8", read the inseam number and ignore the height band.
Which brand is safer if I am between sizes?
PopFlex, because a second variable is available. Moving up a size there adds about 2" of waist but keeps your length; at Baleaf, sizing up adds 0.2" to 0.4" of inseam whether you wanted it or not.
