Bootcut and Flare Yoga Pants Size Chart: CRZ Yoga, Baleaf, Bubblelime, 29–37" Inseams

Short answer — Size a bootcut or flare by hip first, waist second, then pick length on its own. At M, CRZ Yoga lists a 28.5" waist and 39" hip, Baleaf 28–29.5" and 38–39.5", and Bubblelime 27" to 29" of waist depending on the style.

A flare hides a lot below the knee. It hides nothing at the hip.

What does a size M measure in bootcut and flare yoga pants?

Baleaf and Bubblelime numbers come from the flare or bootcut product page itself; CRZ Yoga uses one bottoms chart for all its leggings.

How do the full charts line up from XS to XL?

CRZ steps about 2" per size and stops at XL, so a hip past 43" needs another brand for a flare. Baleaf's ranges widen as sizes climb — XL alone spans 3.5" of waist — which means a size L body and a size XL body can share a pair.

The BWWB011 column runs smaller at every step: its XL hip of 40" is below CRZ's L at 41". Let the tape measure decide, not the letter. The same issue with letters in general is laid out in how five brands label the same body.

Why does the same brand's medium change from style to style?

The spread is 2" of waist and 3" of hip inside one brand and one leg shape. Someone with a 29" waist and 38" hip is a medium in BWWB116 and a large in BWWB011. Fabric plays a part: cotton and fleece knits stretch differently from the nylon-spandex blends in our spandex tally.

Which inseam goes with your height in a flare?

Here the three brands split.

• CRZ Yoga sells length as a height band. Its flare listings print 29" for 5'1"–5'3", 30" for 5'3"–5'5", 32" for 5'6"–5'9" on the mini flare and 33" for 5'8"–5'11". The 31" band shifts by collection: 5'4"–5'5" on the Softretch flare, 5'4"–5'7" on the Butterluxe crossover.
• Baleaf mostly sells one length. The Laureate 29" flare chart lists a 28.9" inseam for every size from XS to XXXL. Its Workleisure bootcut comes in 29" regular and 31" tall, and its Micro work flare says 29" for 5'2"–5'5" and 31" for 5'5"–6'1".
• Bubblelime sells five lengths in every size. Its bootcut yoga pants come in 29", 31", 33", 35" and 37", and its flare crop sits at 21.5" in XS–M and 22" in L–XL.

The trap in Baleaf's chart: it pairs each size with a height, 5'1"–5'3" at XS up to 6'1"–6'3" at XXXL, yet the inseam never moves. A 5'2" XL still gets 28.9". Heights that don't fit a width band are handled in inseam by height.

How long is the whole pant, and what does that say about the rise?

Bubblelime's charts list full pant length next to each inseam. Subtract one from the other and you get the distance from the waistband top to the crotch seam — our arithmetic, not a rise figure the brand publishes.

BWWB011 carries 1.5" more above the crotch seam than BWWB101, so it's the one for a long torso. Rise grows only 0.25" per size while the waist grows about 2", so XL and XXL get proportionally less height.

What mistakes do people make sizing a flare like a legging?

• Sizing down for squeeze. A flare only hugs to mid-thigh. Too small, and the hip tension can lift the hem.
• Reusing a legging inseam. A flare hem at the ankle bone looks like it shrank. Plan around your shoes.
• Trusting the number in the name. CRZ's 31" covers a 1" height band on one flare and a 3" band on another.

What if you land between two sizes?

All five Bubblelime charts say choose the larger size. On a flare, a loose waist can be tucked; a tight hip can't. The waistband test is in stuck between two legging sizes.

Does CRZ Yoga make flares above XL?

Not in the listings we checked. Its women's bottoms chart ends at a 32.5" waist and 43" hip, and every adult flare listing runs XXS to XL. Baleaf's flares reach XXXL, a 41–43" waist.

What inseam should a 5'6" person pick in a flare?

CRZ's charts point to 32". Baleaf's Micro work flare says 31" for 5'5"–6'1". Bubblelime's inseam finder maps height to its five lengths. When charts disagree, measure a pair you own, as in our side-by-side comparison.

TL;DR — Across CRZ Yoga, Baleaf and Bubblelime, the M waist runs 27–29.5" and the M hip 36–39.5". Read the chart on the exact product; one brand's five bootcuts disagree by 2". Then pick length on its own. More charts live in size charts and fit notes.
