The São Paulo Grand Prix is on Sunday, Nov. 8, and the race starts at noon ET, which is 9 a.m. PT, on Apple TV. Qualifying is the day before, Saturday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. ET. There is no sprint, so the weekend is three practice sessions, qualifying and the race.

The ET column is the same in three places: Apple TV's F1 schedule, which is written in Eastern time; the Jolpica F1 timing data, which is kept in UTC; and the schedule on Formula 1's own São Paulo page. We worked out the CT, MT and PT columns ourselves from the UTC times. All five sessions fall after the U.S. clocks went back on Sunday, Nov. 1, so every time on this page is standard time.
What time does the São Paulo Grand Prix start?
Lights out is at noon ET on Sunday, Nov. 8: 11 a.m. Central, 10 a.m. Mountain and 9 a.m. Pacific. Formula 1's page lists the race at 71 laps of the 4.309-kilometer Autódromo José Carlos Pace, a distance of 305.879 kilometers. Apple's page doesn't give an end time, so we don't list one.
The same afternoon, NASCAR's Cup Series Championship Race at Homestead-Miami starts its NBC coverage at 3 p.m. ET, according to both NASCAR's schedule feed and FOX Sports' schedule. If you follow both, our NASCAR Championship Race page has that day's schedule.
What channel is the São Paulo Grand Prix on?
It's on Apple TV, not on a cable or broadcast channel. Apple's Where to Watch Formula 1 page says every practice, qualifying session, sprint and Grand Prix is available to Apple TV subscribers in the U.S., and that F1 TV Premium comes included through an Apple Account. The app runs on Apple devices, Android, smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles and the web.
Can I watch the São Paulo Grand Prix without a subscription?
Maybe for practice, but we can't confirm the race. Apple says every practice is available without a subscription, along with “a select number of race weekends.” Its page doesn't say which weekends those are, so we can't tell you whether Brazil is one of them. Check the Apple TV app on Friday, Nov. 6, when Practice 1 starts at 10:30 a.m. ET.
Is there a sprint at São Paulo?
No. Apple's schedule, Jolpica's calendar and Formula 1's page each list three practice sessions, qualifying and the race for the weekend of Nov. 6–8, with no sprint or sprint qualifying.

Formula 1 lists this race as the São Paulo Grand Prix, while Jolpica's data calls it the Brazilian Grand Prix; they are the same race. For the week-by-week view, the F1 race start-time page covers the Mexico City Grand Prix first and moves here after Nov. 1. The weekend TV schedule puts F1, UFC and NASCAR in one table, and our two-source rule explains how we check times. The start times section and the home page list everything we track.
